Mineral and gem society founded in 1937. Meets on the second Thursday of each month, 5:30 to 7:30 PM (no meeting in December), on the third floor of Sports Basement Long Beach, 2100 N. Bellflower Blvd. Lapidary classes in cabochons, geodes and faceting at the Long Beach Senior Center, open to non-members too. The club's show, Gems on the Hill, is planned again for 2027.
