About Lake Havasu Gem and Mineral Society

The Lake Havasu Gem & Mineral Society is a non-profit club in Lake Havasu City whose main purpose is to give its members, and the public, a place to learn and practice lapidary: the cutting and polishing of stones.

That place is the club's shop and retail store at 790 N Lake Havasu Ave, Suite 2, open on Saturdays. Members use the machines and take classes there, and visitors can walk in, see the work and buy finished pieces and rough. Around the shop the club runs classes, field trips, scholarships and even a rock tumbling contest, and it takes part in the town's life, with a booth at the Fright Night on Main Street at Halloween.

General membership meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month at the Lake Havasu Yacht Club, 631 London Bridge Rd, next to Windsor Beach State Park, with social time from 5:30 and the meeting at 6 pm. In November members nominate the officers for the next year and in December they elect them.

The big event is the yearly Gem & Mineral Show. In 2026 it moved to a new location, Windsor Beach State Park, on November 14 and 15.
