Classes & training: where to buy

Some shops do more than sell: they teach. Classes range from a first panning lesson and metal detector clinics to lapidary courses where you learn to cut and polish your own stones, and some shops run guided outings where you practice on real ground. For a beginner, a good lesson can save a lot of trial and error, and money spent on the wrong gear.

Rock and prospecting clubs are the other way in. Many run monthly meetings, field trips and shared lapidary shops, and you will find them on the Eureka map in every state we have covered.

Before you sign up, ask what the class covers, how long it runs, whether equipment is provided and, for outings, where you will go and whether you keep what you find.

3 shops across the US that sell classes & training. Each one links to its own website, so you can compare them one by one.
