Gem and mineral club founded in 1971. Meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Dr., Thousand Oaks. Members-only field trips in California and other states for agates, jade, quartz and petrified wood, and to the coast for fossilized whale and dolphin bone; a club lapidary program and the Pageant of a Thousand Gems show every April (the 49th in 2026, in Newbury Park).
