Gold prospecting camp on about 179 acres along Wesobulga and Crooked creeks, in the Alabama gold belt near Cragford. You pay a day fee to pan, sluice, dredge, high-bank or metal detect in the creeks; equipment rental, a general store, cabins and campsites are on site. The operators also report garnets and citrine on the property. Approximate location (Cragford area): the operators advise against using GPS, so follow their driving directions or call before you go.
