About The Rock Stop
The Rock Stop sits in a rock-shaped building on US Highway 89 in Orderville, on the right just before the town center if you come north from Kanab through Mount Carmel, on the road between Zion and Bryce Canyon. It has been selling rocks, trinkets and roadside food for about 45 years.
In the 1970s it was already a well-known rock shop for Utah septarian nodules, and the nodules are still cut and polished on site. Next to the rocks and souvenirs there is a coffee counter that is well regarded locally, plus tacos, donuts, Italian sodas, ice cream and sandwiches. The present owners took over around 2022, and the shop opens seven days a week.
