Shasta Gem & Mineral Society
Gem and mineral society founded in 1953. Meets on the second Friday of each month at the Anderson Grange, 8085 Airport Road: set-up at 6 PM, potluck at 6:30 PM, then program, rock auction and raffle. Guided field trips in Shasta County, lapidary, silversmithing and wire-wrap classes, and a free annual gem show every October at the Shasta District Fair Event Center in Anderson (the 71st in 2026). The pin marks Anderson, because the Grange address cannot be placed exactly.
