Northern California Mineralogical Association
A micromount mineral society dedicated to the study of microminerals, whose members range from casual collectors to geology professionals, that meets at its annual symposium. Once a year it holds a three-day conference in El Dorado with speakers on geology and mineralogy, mineral slide shows, demonstrations, a giveaway table and a mineral auction; the 2026 Annual Micromount Conference ran May 29-31 at the El Dorado Community Hall, 6139 Pleasant Valley Road.
