El Dorado County Mineral & Gem Society
Nonprofit mineral and gem society of El Dorado County. Meets on the third Thursday of each month, 7 to 9 PM, at the American Legion Hall, El Dorado Post 119, 4561 Greenstone Road, Placerville. One-day and weekend collecting trips, lapidary and jewelry arts, a county fair display and the Rock & Gem Show at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds every April.
