Mineral society organized in 1935. Meets on the third Thursday of each month in the evening at the East Bakersfield Veterans Hall, 2101 Ridge Road, Bakersfield, plus an informal breakfast club on the first Wednesday. Lapidary workshops, field trips to places like Lavic, Kramer Junction, Lockwood Valley, Castle Butte and Jalama Beach, the Pseudomorph newsletter and a club booth at the Kern County Fair every fall.
